Virtual Experience Day - University College Maastricht - 10 November

What is it like to study Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Maastricht? Join the UCM Virtual Experience Day to find out!

Currently, we cannot offer in-person Experience Days due to the COVID-19. Therefore, we are offering you a virtual alternative. During the Virtual Experience Day, you will have the opportunity to find out what studying at UCM is like, engage in a classic UCM-style Problem-Based Learning (PBL) tutorial group with other prospective students, and meet current UCM students in a Question & Answer (Q&A) session!

With our Virtual Experience Day, you will get the chance to find out whether a Liberal Arts & Sciences Programme at University College Maastricht is the right match for you.

Registration

Are you in your final year of high school or plan to start your studies in the next academic year? Then click on the green button on the right to register for this event!

The spots for the Experience Day are limited, so make sure to register on time. The Virtual Experience Day will take place online via the communication platform Zoom.

How does a UCM Virtual Experience Day work?

In order to make the best out of the little time available during the Virtual Experience Day, we require participants to do some preparation in the week prior to the event. This preparation takes a maximum of 2 hours and involves watching informational videos about the programme structure and an introduction to Problem-Based Learning teaching method, as well as some minor reading to prepare for the PBL tutorial.

During the event, participants meet current UCM students and engage in a PBL tutorial, led by student ambassadors and tutors. After the PBL tutorial, there is a live Q&A session in which prospective students can ask current UCM students and our Student Recruiter any questions they might still have. The Virtual Experience Day will take about 3.5 hours.

Parents' sessions

Parents and guardians are also more than welcome to join this Virtual Experience Day!

Similar to the preparation stage for prospective students, parents and guardians will be required to watch informational videos about the programme structure and an introduction to Problem-Based Learning teaching method (parts 1 and 2 in the schedules) prior to the event.

During the Experience Day, parents and guardians will participate in the welcome session, after which they will join an informative parents’ session over the online platform Zoom with the UCM Student Recruiter and a UCM student, whom they can ask questions about the programme.

Parents and guardians who would like to join the parents’ session are required to log in to the session with a second device.
